Try using a mixture of 15% baking soda, 15% salt, and 70% rice to get rid of your kids’ foul foot odors. After adding the mixture to the shoes, leave them overnight to do their magic.

Hydrogen peroxide and lemon essential oil work well for stubborn carpet stains. The ingredients are two parts water, one part hydrogen peroxide, a few drops lemon oil, and a spray bottle. After soaking the stain, give it a scrub with a brush.

Too much glitter leftover from your arts and crafts project? You can use a lint roller to remove that, so don’t worry.

If the hardwood floors in your house have noticeable marker stains, use toothpaste and a moist cloth to remove the marker permanently.

Most houses with children have dirty Legos all over the floor. To prevent your kids from chewing on them, put the dirty Legos in a mesh bag and add laundry detergent to the washing machine.

Parents who are too busy to clean their toys often overlook this chore, but did you know that the dishwasher can handle it? Stuffed animals and wooden toys, however, should be cleaned differently.

If your child has one or more “accidents,” you can use a spray bottle to remove the stains by adding three tablespoons of baking soda, eight ounces of hydrogen peroxide, and a sufficient amount of dish detergent.

Before your guests arrive, sweep up all of the smaller toys from your flooring using a clean dustpan.

You may remove grease stains by applying white chalk to them and letting them sit overnight.
