After boy learned that his father was having an affair, he exposed him in front of the whole family

Four years prior, a Redditor had told the tale of how he had revealed his father’s infidelity to the entire family in front of them all during a family dinner.

The individual disclosed that his father was not there in his life due to extended business trips and a preference for his job above his family. “My mom raised my siblings and me pretty much alone, and I’m really close with her,” the user stated.

OP became aware of his father’s strange behavior when he was sixteen years old. “I remember a few months ago when he came home really late and I could smell a little perfume on him,” the post’s author stated. Additionally, OP noticed a text message his father received that contained the emojis “last night was amazing” and “can’t wait to see you again” as he placed his phone across the table.

OP was astonished to see the message and called his mother right away. His mother did not find him surprising. “She got pretty emotional, which I felt bad about. She told me not to worry and that I should just worry about being a kid. I just let it go because I didn’t want to hurt her more,” the account owner stated.

OP’s cousin revealed that he had started a new job when the entire family was having dinner at the grandparents’ place, and OP’s father attempted to make his son look bad in front of the group.

His father began to lecture him about how OP need to emulate his cousin and concentrate on his studies in order to have opportunities, etc. He continued talking till he discussed his son’s lack of regard for others.

“Hard to respect you when you openly cheat on Mom and don’t even try to hide it,” remarked the OP, who had had enough.

The father began to scream at OP’s mother, accusing her of spoiling and ruining him, as the entire family looked on in shock. The family members attempted to diffuse the argument as it was beginning. After telling OP’s father not to come home, OP’s mother then collected her children and left the house.

OP’s phone rang as soon as they got home because everyone was contacting him to tell him that he had wrecked the evening and his family. “She said that she understood my frustration and I probably should have expressed it better privately but what’s done is done,” the individual said after speaking with his mother.
