We regret to inform you if you enjoy the Costco food court but do not currently have a membership.
Costco will start tracking customers who use their food court on April 8, 2024.
Although the policy is not new, it is usually ignored, particularly in clubs where the food court is outside the building.
However, based on a notice that was seen at a Costco in Orlando, Florida and posted on Reddit, the store intends to start implementing the ban on April 8.
“A valid Costco membership card will be needed to make purchases from our food court beginning of April 8, 2024. You may sign up right now. For further information, please visit our membership counter.
It’s unclear right now if Shop Cards holders—a kind of Costco gift card—will be able to make purchases from the food court.
The shop tried to prevent anyone with a valid membership card from making a transaction before the raid.

Costco’s membership policy, which stipulates that only Costco members are permitted to make purchases, was aggressively enforced starting in June 2023.
“We’ve noticed that non-member shoppers have been using membership cards that do not belong to them since expanding our self-service checkout,” a Costco statement said. “Our membership policy states that our membership cards are not transferable.” “We believe it is unfair to offer non-members the same pricing and benefits as our members.”
