A dog can be as fierce as a lion to protect her offspring, yet she can also be as gentle as a sheep when it comes to caring for them! A kind dog showed her compassionate nature by planting a soft kiss on these cute two-month-old triplets!

Cute triplets were dead asleep on the couch, totally oblivious to anything going on around them. It’s comforting to watch them sleep! However, it became evident that dogs too possessed a maternal instinct when the dog began to approach them and inquire as to each person’s well-being.

It nudged each infant slowly and gently before giving them a kiss. She seemed especially careful not to damage them. She appeared to recognize their weakness. She took on the role of a nanny, watching out for these tiny, happy bundles of joy.

Dogs “influence social, emotional, and cognitive development in children, promote an active lifestyle, and provide companionship,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It makes sense that dogs are referred to as “man’s best friend,” or in this instance, “babies’ best companion.”
