Miranda Lambert has revealed the tragic news that her mother has been diagnosed with cancer. This was a family secret that Miranda Lambert had been keeping to herself.
In September of 2021, the country music singer shared the news that her mother, Beverly, had been diagnosed with breast cancer. She went on to describe the challenging journey that the family went through as they rallied around their mother while she fought the disease. Beverly passed away in December of 2021. Miranda immediately quit everything she was doing as soon as she found out about Beverly’s cancer and traveled to Texas to be with her mother, father, and brother Luke at their house.
According to a statement made by Miranda to People, “She’s been through a whole lot, but she’s doing really well, and she’s ready to roll.” “I was able to be there for her even through the most difficult times.”
After a harrowing and trying ten months, we are relieved to report that Beverly has successfully defeated cancer and is doing well. Miranda chimed up and said, “She can’t be stopped.” “During it all, she has maintained an incredible amount of strength and optimism. People should remember this important takeaway from a trip like that: the more optimistic they are, the better off they will be, despite the fact that they are in a truly terrifying location.”
Beverly accompanied her daughter to the interview and shared with the reporter that it was a blessing for both of them to have Miranda by their sides throughout their journey. She went on to explain that not just her immediate family but also her “bigger family” became much closer to one another as a result of her illness.
“Not only did the war bring our family closer together, but the continual contact, reporting, and praying together drew the larger family together,” said Beverly. “Not only did the battle bring our family closer together, but it also brought the broader family closer together.” “During the trip, I had the impression that there was a large group of people praying and rooting for me from the sidelines. It succeeded! I do longer have cancer as of today!”
Beverly also stated that Miranda “remained as steady as a rock” during her struggle and revealed some tragic memories from it, such as the time when her daughter massaged essential oils on her head after she had her hair chopped off as a result of chemotherapy.
Beverly remarked that those particular times were the most emotionally charged and intense.
During this time, Miranda admitted that watching her mother fight illness helped her to better understand what is most important to her.
She went on to add that “all I want to do is dream, live in the now, and spend time doing things I love with my friends and family since this whole situation with my mom has shown me that we do not have them forever.”
