A bargain-hunting granny was left red-faced after discovering her 50p Christmas cardigan included a pair of extremely unpleasant reindeer.

Carolyn Hallam, 53, didn’t notice the romping reindeer on the front when she bought the knitwear at a car boot sale.

She was astonished when she noticed the irritating detail when trying on her cardigan at home.

Abigail, 29, from Nottingham, shared a hilarious photo of her mother wearing her obnoxious dress online.

“We love finding deals at car boot sales, and mum was overjoyed to get a Christmas jumper for 50p in the summer last year,” she said.

“She picked it up and took a short glance at it, noticing that it was a Christmas sweater, so she decided it would be appropriate to wear to work.”

“She stuffed it into her plastic bag and forgot about it until she got home.”

“When we come home, we always go through what we bought from the car trunk and give it a thorough inspection.” Mum realized she needed to look at the design more closely after holding it up.

“She then proudly asked, “Do you like my Christmas cardigan?” after trying it on.”

“At first, I didn’t see and responded, ‘Ah yes, it’s great,’ but when she asked what I thought of the pattern, I fell out laughing!”

Fortunately, grandmother Carolyn, who teaches in a primary school, detected the flaw before going to work.

“When Mum realized it was a rude Christmas sweater, she laughed out loud and thought it was hilarious,” Abigail continued.

“She was relieved to see what was on it before putting it on for work in an elementary school!”

“She was even happier with her bargain when we realized it was impolite!”

Carolyn has a more work-appropriate sweater, but she still wears the wicked reindeer cardigan whenever she can.

Since being shared on social media, the humorous photos have received hundreds of likes.
