In the world of television magic, one name stands out: Elizabeth Montgomery. You might recognize her best as Samantha Stevens, the seductive witch from the iconic television series Bewitched.

On April 15, 1933, Elizabeth Montgomery was born into an acting family in Los Angeles, California. Acting was virtually in her blood, and she started her career at an early age, acting in films and television shows.

Her role as Samantha Stevens, however, cemented her place in popular culture. Bewitched was a popular comedy that ran from 1964 until 1972. Montgomery portrayed Samantha, a kind-hearted witch who attempts to live a regular life with her mortal husband, Darrin, played by actor Dick York (later Dick Sargent).

Samantha’s attempts to adapt into the mortal world frequently resulted in funny situations, particularly when her magical abilities got her into trouble.
