With almost 9 million views in just four days, a TikTok showcasing an aspiring attorney learning she passed her bar examinations went viral.
Based in Cardiff Seren Lewis captured the touching moment when the three of them got the good news by filming herself, her grandparents, and her bar results.
Lewis completed her master’s degree and LLB at Manchester University before enrolling in The University of Law’s bar program.
In the caption, Lewis states, “My biggest accomplishment to date is passing the bar and qualifying as a barrister.” However, without my grandparents, for whom I will always be grateful, it never would have occurred. The most selfless thing someone could have done for me was to take me in when I was just 2 years old and to retire early to take care of a child.
The would-be lawyer goes on:
“Bar school is extremely expensive and is still so inaccessible to the majority of people living in the UK. To be able to attend, they decided to remortgage their house that they had paid off so many years ago and without that, I would not be where I am today.”
The video has so far been viewed nearly 9 million times and and received more than 15k comments. “I’m literally crying for you,” says one, while many others congratulated Lewis on her achievement.
