Many Hollywood relationships fail to last the course of time together.

Living in the public glare and having the world and his wife follow you everywhere, not to mention the hateful remarks on social media, must be difficult, I can only imagine.

Famous actor Pierce Brosnan, who often co-stars with gorgeous leading ladies as the ultimate charmer, is often said to as quite the Casanova. Behind the scenes, though, he’s a devoted husband and the epitome of the family guy.

We can all aspire to a marriage similar to that of James Bond star Pierce Brosnan and his author, television personality, and journalist wife Keely Shaye Smith.

The ardent couple has been together for more than 25 years, and they still exclusively see each other. Their union demonstrates that real love never fades, even in the face of celebrity, aging, and all the accompanying bodily changes.

Pierce and Keely have been each other’s closest friends, confidantes, and lovers for thirty years. The couple began dating in 1994 after first meeting in 1992 at a Mexican club, and they were married seven years later.

Keely became acquainted with Pierce instead of Ted Danson when she was supposed to interview him.

Their first date is reminiscent of any romantic tale.

He grabbed my hand as they “sat down under the stars.” Overhead, we could see fireworks and hear Kenny Loggins singing. We conversed till three in the morning.

Keely said, “He was captivating,” back in 2001.

Tall, black, and attractive—everything that would make people want to be around you. There was a playful twinkle in his eyes. I was like, “Whoa!” Whoa!

Pierce recognized Keely’s exceptional nature right away.

“I adore her vigor and fire. She possesses a strength that I could not survive without. I become faint when Keely looks at me,” he remarked.

Pierce and Keely were married in Ireland in 2001.

The 16-year-old son of Pierce was hurt in an automobile accident in the United States prior to the couple’s scheduled 2000 wedding. As a result, he suffered a spinal injury, and his father chose to call off the wedding.

But in the end, Pierce and Keely’s fantasy wedding was realized when they were joined in marriage at the imposing Irish fortress Ashford Castle. At the fantasy hotel, the newlyweds had booked 120 rooms for their close friends and family, but Pierce had funded a substantial security operation to keep the general public and media at bay.

Raising sons together

The couple, who are passionate about protecting the environment and opposing whaling and the extinction of marine life, has two sons.

Given the speed at which their two kids were born, Pierce and Keely were unquestionably a match made in heaven.

Ever since, Keely has taken care of the kids with exceptional care while keeping a strict work schedule for her own job. Keely has also provided compassionate care for Pierce’s children from a previous marriage to Cassandra Harris, who died of cancer in 1991.

Before she met Pierce, Keely worked as an actor and had a modeling career. Recently, Keely’s weight has drawn a lot of attention, especially from gossip magazines.

She gained some weight, which is undoubtedly visible to everyone, but who doesn’t as they get older? Keely may have had thyroid issues, according to some media accounts, but I still think she is stunningly gorgeous.

Sadly, because of her shape-shifting, Keely is frequently the victim of vicious trolls. The OO7 actress, meanwhile, claims he still adores his “passionate” wife and that she makes him “weak at the knees.”

They are not shy about showing their love for each other. Both Pierce and Kelly are active on social media and use Instagram to show their love.

For example, In 2021, Brosnan took to Instagram and wrote a touching post to his wife to celebrate her 58th birthday:

Throughout his star-studded career appearing alongside some of Hollywood’s most beautiful women, Brosnan preferred to fly his wife to his filming locations so he could devote even more time to her.

“Wherever I went in the world I missed her, and I’d send her tickets to come so we could be together. We just seemed to fit,” he recalls.

Pierce Brosnan has just finished playing the role of Dr. Fate in a sci-fi action movie Black Adam. In this role, the actor plays a superhero and sorcerer in the DC Universe.

However, the 69-year-old actor made sure to keep some things from his personal life the same as his role. He wore his wedding ring and a watch his wife Keely Shaye Smith had gifted to him many years ago.

He explained in an interview saying, “This is our wedding ring and this is a watch that Keely bought me many years ago with an inscription that [reads], ‘Time flies on love’s wings,’” He further added, “I decided to wear it for this character. It seemed appropriate.”

He explained that it was appropriate for his character as he had a wife too, which is why Brosnan decided to keep these personal items on during filming. He said, “The man [has] traversed the ages of time. He’s one of the most powerful sorcerers in the DC comic book world. He did have a wife called Enza, and she was even more powerful than him I hear.”

His wife was obviously thrilled at the subtle yet sweet tribute her beloved husband gave to her in his latest film project. She said, “I love those emblems, that he took those with him into the superpower, superhero realm.”

I love seeing these two together and wish them many more happy years and beautiful moments; they are a shining example to us all.
